Α visualization comparing critic scores and audience ratings for Pixar films. Each film is represented by a horizontal line connecting two points: a purple point with a popcorn emoji (representing audience score) and a yellow point with a camera emoji (representing critic score). Films are ordered vertically by the difference between critic and audience scores, with films at the top having higher critic scores than audience scores, and films at the bottom having higher audience scores than critic scores. The films with the largest positive discrepancies (critics rated higher than audiences) are Toy Story (1995), Ratatouille (2007), and Inside Out (2015), while the films with the largest negative discrepancies (audiences rated higher than critics) are Cars 2 (2011) and Cars 3 (2017). The chart reveals which Pixar films were more appreciated by critics versus regular viewers. Critic scores are calculated as the average of Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic on a 10-point scale, while audience ratings combine CinemaScore (converted to a 10-point scale) and IMDB ratings. The visualization has a light green background with the Pixar logo visible in the upper right corner.
